To support mental health professionals in the Conejo Valley; to advance professional development and practice development within the mental health community; to promote awareness about mental health with the general public and allied professions.
In September of 2000, Howard Levitt, a Marriage and Family Therapist in Westlake Village, California, identified a need for a multi-disciplinary organization of mental health professionals. What began as a group of 12 people meeting at Los Robles Hospital East Campus in Westlake Village has grown to over 150 members meeting six times a year at Sherwood Country Club to network and listen to noted speakers on a range of subjects related to mental health. We now provide CEUs and MCEPs as well as offer peer support and opportunities to meet other professionals from various mental health disciplines. These disciplines include but are not limited to Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Psychologists, Psychiatrists and other Physicians, mental health agencies and other professionals such as clergy and attorneys. The active involvement of our membership continues to contribute to our growth and success.
